Grindelwald is a pretty city, located in a valley under Eiger mountain. It is on way from Interlaken to Jungfraujoch and a popular city to base to stay in Berner Oberland.
I also based here, stayed in a nice big hostel located in the center, called Downtown Lodge.
Had a nice dinner in a hotel restaurant near the station, a steak with Rosti (Swiss harsh potato).
Though it is a nice village to live, especially if you go to First, I hoped I stayed in Interlaken, which was more convenient to explore the other side of the mountain, i.e. Lauterbrunnen and Murren.
